What to report
Report content, conduct, account activity or a disclosure on CodeQuest that may put a child or young person at risk. Avoid including more personal information than the safeguarding team needs.
Immediate danger
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Students can also speak to a trusted adult, teacher or their school safeguarding lead.
What happens
A report receives a reference and is placed in a separately permissioned case workflow. Authorised staff assess risk, record decisions and action, and may share information where necessary and lawful to protect someone.
Schools
School users should also follow their school child-protection policy and contact the designated safeguarding lead without delay. CodeQuest does not replace that process.
Communication
CodeQuest does not provide disappearing messages, private student-to-student messaging or file uploads. Teacher feedback is class-scoped and auditable in the database.
